DNS Monitor
Monitors DNS records for your domains. Alerts on unexpected changes.
Template
Every 6 hours:
1. For each domain in the watchlist, query DNS records:
- A records (IP addresses)
- CNAME records
- MX records (mail servers)
- TXT records (SPF, DKIM, etc.)
- NS records (nameservers)
2. Compare with the last known state (cached from previous run)
3. If any record changed:
- Alert immediately: "DNS change detected for {domain}: {record_type} changed from {old} to {new}"
- Flag if A record points to an unknown IP
- Flag if MX records changed (potential email hijack)
4. Daily: DNS health report (all domains, all records, last verified time)
5. If a query fails or times out: retry once, then alert "DNS resolution failed for {domain}"Setup
